Economics as an equalibrium system has it origins in Newtonian physics and has some serious flaws, which are obvious when compared to the real world. Complexity economics offers a new dynamic view of economics. It offers a vision of economies which are forever in motion, and which operate much more like scale free networks (think the internet) than a ball rolling in a bowl moving closer and closer to a point of equalibrium. Complexity economics views a free market system and an evolutionary system, which constantly innovates and explains the process that economists call "creative destruction."
